Thank you, dear Bishop Giles, for this sound counsel to aid us as we enter the holy season of Lent. I am grateful for the opportunity to have heard it. I will return, not only to the Epistle of the Sunday, but also to this sermon, to help keep me firm in my resolutions.

A while ago, I had begun a practice of often praying, Lord, that I may see!- REALLY see - the true state of my soul, the world, my situation. Little by little, as I can bear it, I see more and more clearly how spiritually poor I have been.

I pray it also for others, out of compassion, especially loved ones, the fallen aways, for that great grace to be able to call out: Lord, that WE may see! I know He will help.

Thank you again.
God bless you.
