Here are the recordings of sermons given during Holy Week and Easter Sunday:
Easter morning (Lessons we need to
learn from Lent and Easter. There is no Easter without Lent. There is
no Resurrection without dying. There is no crown without a sword.
There is no glory without previous sacrifice.)
Easter midnight (Renewal of Baptismal
Vows. We follow Christ in dying to ourselves so that we may rise to
eternal life with Him. He is the Head of the Mystical Body, we are
members of His Body and the body must follow the Head. If we die with
Him, we will rise to eternal life with Him.)
Good Friday (The tomb is like a womb.
We must sacrifice everything to die to this world, so that we may
rise with Christ. Take up your cross daily and come follow Me. Unless
we are reborn we cannot enter into eternal life. To be truly reborn
we cannot enter once again into our mother's womb, but we can
sacrifice the pleasures of this life in spiritual death, so that we
might be born into eternal life. The pains of death are necessary,
but they are soon forgotten after the birth. The same is true in the
spiritual realm; we must suffer much in dying to ourselves and the
world so that we may be born into eternity with Christ.)
Holy Thursday (Christ demands utmost
humility in His Apostles. They must care for one another, not seeking
to rule over others, but rather to serve. Our bishops are our
shepherds and serve our spiritual needs. This humble attitude was
demanded, before they received authority over the Body of Our Lord.
He came not to be served but to serve. Our priests must likewise come
to serve, rather than to be served.)
